In a dim and cozy space littered with pillows and Persian rugs, we gathered at JACK to screen Movies In Your Head, an audio piece and documentary experiment produced in collaboration with composer Shani Aviram. It began with questions about how perception is altered in early romantic relationships and how one’s sense of reality fails when falling in love. Months of research and 17 interviews later, a single narrative emerged. The screening was followed by a live Q+A with the director and hosted by radio producer, Ann Heppermann.
